Here are my new red shoes. (with a teensy glimpse of my red coat)
I know that stuff can't make you happy and that there is more to life than material goods. BUT LOOK AT THESE SHOES! I was standing in Payless and I couldn't really make up my mind what I wanted to buy with my gift card. Then I saw these little gems and the clouds parted and a ray of light shined down from heaven.
Yes, that is a string cheese wrapper on my floor. I don't want to talk about it.
This cd wrenches my very soul.
I adore it. It makes me cry every time I hear it. You can listen a little bit here. I play it for the kids as they fall asleep and it is the sweetest thing you have ever heard. Love it. Love it. Love it. Which leads me to this:
Oh those chubby little wrists. I can't stop smooching this baby. He is sweeter than the sweetest dessert I could dream up, and that's pretty dang sweet.

Ilove the new Plumb song "In My Arms". It's so incredibly sweet it makes me cry and I don't even have kids!! I absolutely love the little chubby wrists! Adorable!
Okay, I've never heard of Plumb before, but I am going to be buying that cd! I love music that is the poetry of a mother's soul! Do you like Sara Groves? Her "Station Wagon Songs" cd is an awesome collection of songs for parents!!
I just found your blog recently and I wanted to know the story behind your large family (I figured there had to be one). So I skimmed around until I found your "why we have a million kids post"- what a beautiful story! We are working through these issues right now- it's a difficult process because we are human and sinful and weak and fail so much to rely on the perfection and power and strength of the God who GIVES us these children!
I wish you could see my living room right now- it's laundry folding central, but I'm taking a break!

I have the Plumb CD and actually sang BGVs on the live song, "In My Arms," that we did for one of our church services. It is an awesome song! If you live Plumb, then you probably also loved Leigh Nash from Sixpence None the Richer. I love her voice - "Kiss Me." And make sure you smooch those chubby wrists before they lose their chubbiness. It goes by so fast! My girls have lost all their baby fat.

Shoes, coat---love them. I have a red coat too. Two red coats, actually. One is about the same color as yours (wondering if it is the same coat, actually---is it kinda like a swingy empire pea coat with black buttons?) and the other is more of a cranberry color.
