Camryn's first grade class went to see March of the Penguins today. After school, I asked her how it was.
*spoiler warning*
"One mom penguin and lots of baby penguins died. It was really long and kind of boring but a little scary. The penguins didn't talk. There was an eel in it." "An eel?" I asked "yeah, I think it was in eel or somthing like that." I thought for a minute. "A seal?" A light bulb went off in her head. "Yeah, that's what it was."

Emily said it was "fun... it was true facts about penguins and stuff, it was really nice music and stuff. I learned a lot about penguins like they can stay under the water for five hours and twenty five minutes. They hold their breath." "I liked the part where the one penguin was sliding on their tummies because they were giving their feet a rest". "and the sad part was four baby penguins that were just born died in a snow storm. and I also learned that when parents lose their baby cubs they steal another penguin's and they fight over a little baby penguin. a little one.. just born too. and they get bigger and guess what i wrote down in my journal? I wrote down that a penguin is taller than a person. it is it really is i put little measuring sticks and i drawed me and i drawed the penguin and i put a measuring stick by both of us, and it would weigh five pounds i think. so yeah."
Oh my goodness, that is hilarious. I can totally hear her.....she is a doll.
