This morning I stumbled across an anomaly right there in my own fridge. Explain this: in my fridge was a six pack of Propel, two bottles already gone and consumed. They are all four still harnessed together by the little necky plastic stuff that kills wildlife when it gets caught around their necks. (I still can't throw away that stuff without cutting it. I've got wildlife guilt. If you know what I'm talking about, then you are crazy too.)
Back to the science. Four bottles on the bottom shelf of my fridge. Get this, three liquid, one frozen solid. WHAT IN THE WORLD? My only thought it that I just have an isolated, super cold spot in there. It's the Alaska region of my refrigerator. That's all I can come up with. I fully expect to open the door and see a cluster of miniature penguins huddling in that one area. It could happen.
Ideas? Come on internet. Solve all my science problems.

I cut those dumb things too! I can't even remember which animlas get stuck in them?!? It is crazy:)
I cut them, too. Did you know that you are also supposed to crush Yoplait containers? Skunks get their heads stuck in them and then wander in to the street and get hit by cars.

oh dear, I cut them too.. once I saw a bird flying over the bay with one stuck on its bill.. broke my heart. hmm the sub zero fridge is a mystery for sure..although i have gotten an egg out before and it be frozen when the rest were perfectly fine?
Do more experiments! Put another bottle of something there and see if it freezes. The kids could keep a journal and document their observations each day (or hour, since it would be frozen by the end of the day I bet). You could even figure out the boundaries of the frozen region. Fun!
And keep cutting those plastic rings. They really are killers.
I don't cut those rings... does that mean I'm an animal hater?

i have never cut them.. i never even thot about it. gee whiz, one more thing to think about!
That's wild. I just had the same thing happen to my bananas. 2 were partially frozen (from the top !!!) and one was fine. Weird - or -rama!
Refrigerators are weird like that. (My personal explanation.) It is a conspiracy just to make us shake our heads and wonder, or even begin to investigate.
I've had a bunch of sodas in the 'fridge and some have ice in them while others not with no rhyme or reason as to where they were located or anything.

I haven't the faintest idea but I also want to see those penguins, only if they have happy feet though. Otherwise, penguins are just penguins.
Woot! I am crazy too But I knew this from way way back! I cut those darn things all the time too.
As for the fridge NO CLUE good luck figuring that out.

I cut the plastic rings too. I have also had just one egg be frozen too.
I have never heard of putting banana's in the fridge either until very recently.
Post when I the penguins show up. I have no clue other than the fridge just has some colder spots in it.
