Numbers

School was canceled today due to flash flooding. Let's do a little math of our own.

  • Number of worms rescued from the street: at least 40
  • Number of pairs of muddy boots on my deck: 8
  • Number of times the mud people have had to change clothes: 3
  • Number of times I have yelled to keep the mud outside: lost count
  • Number of baths taken so far: 7
  • Number of loads of laundry waiting to be washed: 9
  • Number of timeouts given: lost count
  • Number of times the words "I'm bored" has been uttered: lost count
  • Number of pans of bars made by a bored teenager: 1
  • Number of bars I plan to eat: not telling

*smiling* ...and feeling your "mud" pain. Wish I had a teenager to make me some bars, though!

Ugggg! We did that a few weeks ago... it was very annoying. I hope it dries up soon and those muddy boots don't trash the WHOLE house. :)

love this post!

Daniel and the boys spent much of the day collecting worms for fishing!!! Daniel's eyes are dancing now as he is set for some serious summer fishing!
Does anyone know the root of the cancelation?!?!?! I trust they had a good reason...but WHAT was it!?!?!?
NO one wants to make up more sch in june!

Hey! When and if you get a few moments would you post on your training schedule? I know you've done a half marathon in the past and I would love to see how you split your training up. Any cross training? Weight lifting? How many miles a week did you get in? You can always just email me too - paanlar@msn.com I just feel like with 4 kids my training schedule is crazy but that I can't do any less and would love to have the training schedule of another mom to compare it to. No hurry - just when you're bored (I know, bored - what's that, right???) Pam

Where are the worms kept after they are rescued? Hopefully, not in little pockets, which go through the laundry and end up stiff in the dryer.

Just wondering ;)

OK, I'm all caught up here at The Pile. Love the hair. Wonder if you are jockeying for a long sabbatical from the fam since you are driving your physical body into the ground, and yet I admire the commitment to marathon. Good stuff. Esp. the Subway post.

I've never heard of school being cancelled for that. I am not a fan of mud in the house. Hope everything/everyone is sparkling clean today.

gotta love the words "I'm bored!" I, too, lost count how many times I heard that on Friday. If that's the case it's going to be a long summer! cute pic!
