Signs Of Spring

I feel like the groundhog not only saw his shadow but also the shadow of all of his sisters, brothers, cousins, and close friends. Spring is taking a long time to show up around here. Every few days we get a glimpse of what is to come but then we are teased with threats of snow flurries and wind that chills to the bone. There are a couple signs of spring that are unmistakable and tell of the impending change in the weather, despite the temperature outside.

I present exhibit A:

Little peep toe wedges that are so adorable they are practically edible. Add in a glimpse of painted toddler toenails and it's enough to send me into a diabetic coma. As much as I love shoes for myself, I love shoes for my girls EVEN MORE. I know. It's mind blowing, really.

Exhibit B:

My Mom's bathroom. If you should ever happen to drop by my parents house say, mid March to early April, and you have "gotta go" you might think you walked into the wrong room. You would be met with all the signs of a green house. Mom starts seeds for her fantastic flower gardens and grows them in the sunniest room in their house. Right to the left of the toilet. I love it. It's refreshing. And surprisingly cheerful for a bathroom.

If only a peek out the window would reveal as much green and less brown. But it's coming. I know it is.

Another few weeks and the brown will become this.

YAY!

I am seeing more and more buds, and even little baby leaves on the bushes and trees here! YAY! And I can't wait to see if these plants in front of our house have flowers. I have no clue what they are.

Ok. Spill it. Where did you get those shoes? I have a small girl with cute toes that long to peep from them.

Karen and Savannah's Mommy- The shoes are from Target. Not surprised at all are we? It is the mecca of all things cute.

And they are pretty easy for a toddler to walk in. Running across a parking lot in a dress? I wouldn't recommend it. But walking should be do-able.

Thank you! :)Should've known they were from Target...love that place!

I will trade you. It is currently 86 degrees and humid (at 6 o'clock in the evening), and promises only to get worse as we approach real summer. Probably just to spite ME, personally.

But those shoes, they ARE darling. :)

Spring is springing here. Know how I know? Allergies have started even before I could get over this other doggone virus/cold/whatever it is. Yikes! Makes it hard to enjoy the blossoms on the trees.

I've been reading your blog for a while now & am finally taking the time to comment - it's inspiring, it's fresh, it's fun!

I'll be back... for sure! :)

Ok, after reading the above comments, I can see that spring shoes are the preferred sign of spring over flowers growing in the window. Hmmm......I think I need to make a Target run!

Oh, the the joy of painted toddler toes....and in those darling shoes!
We are growing baby-veggies too, and they are so taking over my office. It was cute at first. It is starting to get scary. My husband is beginning to name them. Hmmm.
