Love the haircut! My 9 yr old son convinced my husband to let his hair grow out about 6 mos ago--bad idea. He doesn't like to shower and with long hair? Yikes, morning was a headache. About 3 weeks ago, I said "Enough! You're 9 yrs old. Time to cut the hair." When he's a teenager, we'll reconsider the long hair. For now, short is better! :-)

It must be haircut day for teen boys! I took my oldest in as well and he looks just like your before and after photo only in blond:)

Oh my, he looks so grown up. Something about the long hair screams junior high, lol.
