Yesterday it started snowing out of the blue. Huge chunks of fluff floated down from the sky. It didn't take long for the yard to turn white so the kids headed out to play.
Ours looks the same...with bikes and shovels laying around. Because OF COURSE riding your bikes around in slush is a fantastic idea...and not putting the bikes away, even better.
Consumers. That what you all are, lol. Were they eating it?
My next door neighbor likes her yard to stay pristine looking when it snows. She would flip out if anyone trudged through it. Well, yeah, it does look pretty, but what a waste of good snow.
Sarah- Oh we're totally with you on the bikes all over the yard and riding through the slush and mud. They are just in the FRONT yard. Even more classy.
We had 6-8 inches of snow here recently (a VERY rare occurence) and my two were outside playing 'drive clearing'. When they got bored after about 10 minutes the shovel just got launched onto the grass. Snow kept falling over the rest of the week and CK ended up having to try and dig his car with a garden fork!
Despite much searching and prodding of snow (a fabulous job for a seven y.o. boy) the shovel didn't reappear for two weeks until the snow melted!
Pretty as that pristine snow is, I(btw much prefer snow to be used.
ha that is what ours looks like too!! My kids always play in the front too, we have a GINORMOUS back yard that NEVER gets played in...always the front, so it can look yucky when 8,200 people drive by on the way to the high school. good times!

But do you have a dog? That adds a whole other element of fun.
The people we bought our house from had grown children. The yard was GORGEOUS when we moved in.
Not so much anymore....
