The Gospel Truth

Hello Heather,
I enjoy reading your blog, and I enjoyed the video. However, I do not like Mark Driscoll. He put a sort of blame on Ted Haggards wife stating "she let herself go", in other words didn't keep up with her appearance and that is why Ted strayed toward a gay prostitute. No, Ted just is GAY. It has nothing to do with his wife letting herself go. I would imagine if Ted was married to a supermodel the same thing would happen. He says if you look at pastor's who have cheated on their wives most of the women have let themselves go. Ted Haggard is a homosexual that is all. I don't have a problem with it, but I have a problem with how hippocritical he is in saying its wrong and then engaging in the "wrong" behavior (talking about Ted here). Also Ted was doing crack and meth with the prostitute. I love when the mighty fall. Oh and Mark is no prize himself. I do not care for these "mega churches" and am glad to be a Lutheran. Thank you.

Mark Driscoll has ZERO tolerance for anyone who speaks against his leadership or attempts to cause any form of division in the church. He basically shows them the door.

I don't think you should be pointing anyone to his ministry unless you have sat under his leadership and understand what the cost of serving in full obedience to it's leadership truly means.

Easter is what Christ did for each of us and the celebration took place in hundreds of churches around the world, some very simply yet just as powerful.

Sarah and Anonymous- I appreciate both of your opinions, but I didn't post this video in an attempt to begin a Mark Driscoll discussion. I posted the video because it was a very clear, very concise explanation of the gospel message. I'm not trying to point anyone to his ministry, I'm trying to point them to Jesus, the One he was talking about.
